Most certification agencies have a maintenance fee or dues to help support their work. The purpose of this annual fee is to cover the administrative costs of maintaining the certification program and conducting the business of the organization. CMF fees provide fiscal resources that will allow ABGC to grow with the profession in a planned and strategic way and continue to pursue initiatives that support and promote the value of the CGC® credential.
All diplomates are invoiced annually for the CMF. Invoices are sent in the fall for payment of the CMF for the next calendar year. Payment may be made by check or credit card as instructed on the invoice.
Payment of the CMF ensures that a diplomate will remain in good standing with ABGC and will be able to recertify without additional cost. A diplomate who is not in good standing due to non-payment of the CMF will not be able to receive full benefits of ABGC membership. A diplomate who wishes to recertify but is not current for one or more years´ payment of the annual CMF must first pay all outstanding CMF fees at the annual rate currently in effect at the time of payment. Upon payment of all past-due CMF fees at the currently prevailing rate, the diplomate will again be considered in good standing with ABGC and may apply for recertification.
