Candidate Guide
This document contains instructions to help an applicant complete the CGC exam application process, pay the examination fees, and, if accepted, schedule an appointment to take the ABGC exam. It is important to understand all requirements and carefully follow these instructions. Missing a step or a deadline can delay or prevent an individual from being able to take the examination.

Accommodations Request Form
ABGC and Prometric comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and strive to ensure that no individual with a disability is deprived of the opportunity to take the examination solely due to that disability. Prometric will provide reasonable accommodation for candidates with disabilities. Candidates requesting special accommodation must fill out the ADA form during the application process and follow Prometric’s ADA instructions when scheduling the exam. The ADA application can also be found within the candidate guide and linked in the exam application.

Practice Exam
An updated practice exam is expected to be available June 1st, 2024.
The Practice Exam in designed to provide the candidate with a similar test-taking experience as the real exam. Once completed, the candidate receives a performance report that the individual can use for further preparation for the actual certification examination. Doing well on the practice exam does not guarantee that you will do well on the real examination.
