ABGC offers a few different ways to verify diplomate’s credentials. The first, and free, way to do this is by exploring the ABGC Certified Genetic Counselor Directory. ABGC also offers a Primary Source Letter if your institution requires documentation. This service is for employers of diplomate's. Diplomate's do not need to pay for this verification. If you are a diplomate looking for a State Licensure Verification, please follow these instructions.
- Follow the hyperlink for the Credential Verification Primary Source Letter and sign into your ABGC account (if you do not have an account, you will be prompted to create one).
- Once signed in, fill out the information with the diplomate’s certificate number & last name. Once you have input this information, please select “Launch Results.”
- Once you have selected the Diplomates name, you will be able to pay the fees and receive Credential Verification Primary Source Letter. A copy of the letter will be emailed to you directly, once payment has been made. Important Tip: Instead of viewing the receipt for your transaction, click the “Continue” button which will then open the Credential Verification letter. You will be able to view the payment receipts in the “Payment History” portal of your profile.
Please note, credential verifications are a non-refundable service that ABGC provides.
